The nails tumblr is likely to be quiet for awhile. I just joined the cast of a local production, and not going to have much time for my nails. 

Hopefully, I’ll be back it at the beginning of April!

I’ve never had trouble with Seche shrinking my polish, though I’ve heard people complain about it. Does it do it no matter how wet or dry your nails are? I tend to be slow, and my nails are usually close to dry before I get to the topcoat. 

I’ve always hated fast drying polishes. Again, I’m slow, so I end up with weird clumps because the polish dried while I was still applying :D

As promised on my personal tumblr yesterday, from the Tronica Collection-

Getting the flash of the holo isn’t easy. It’s not as sparkly as Milani 3-D, but it’s pretty damn captivating. In case you don’t already know, I’m not really a pink girl. But this is bright and magenta and fucking awesome. Also, it’s one of those unicorn China Glaze bottles that went on beautifully the first time I applied it. There’s definitely more Tronica in my future!

China Glaze Midnight Mission is a dark, glittery blue. Orly Goth is a black with silver glitter. China Glaze Lubu Heels is a sheer black with red glitter, and needs to go over another black polish. All three can be found at Ulta or Sally Beauty Supply.

I finally got my bottle of the very, very popular Zoya Edyta. Sadly, this is the first Zoya bottle I’ve had that stained my nails. I had to remove the polish from a couple fingers, and was left with dark green spots.

The up side is, out of 11 bottles, of which all but 3 are bright and/or dark colors, this is the first one I’ve had stain. It’s got Essie beat by far (both dark colors I had stained horribly).

Pictures to come later, when the kick ass gradient I’m working on is done. I’ll be working on a tutorial in between loads of laundry as well. You’re welcome. :D

As usual, this was supposed to go here. I’ll eventually get the hang of having two blogs.

Daylight Photo

I was trying to a pic during the day, hoping to capture the red flash a bit better. I didn’t quite succeed, but I think this is the best photo of my nails I’ve taken. It’s clear, and I’m pleased with the composition.

Okay, I’ll stop posting about it now :)

This mani took forever to come together, mainly because it’s really hard to stamp red on black.

• Stamp- Milani Art Black Sketch using Konad m59 and Bundle Monster bm09

Today, I got smart, and paired a red glitter over a dark red, so that it coordinates with black/red beautifully.

This one shows the flash of red from the Lubu Heels a bit better.

I am so happy with the way this turned out. I don’t really care about Valentine’s Day. I don’t hate it, but I don’t get excited over it, either. One nail on each hand, in the midst of all black and red, is pretty much perfect.
